TREASURER/CABINET OFFICERS
Dear Lion Friends,
Hope that this circular will find you in best of your health and prosperity.
Friends, I want to share following things with you.
Few clubs are not sending their administration & activity reports. If your club is one of them please do your club reporting .If you are having any problem please contact lion’s headquarters.
Few clubs are not sending their WMMR report to Lions Clubs international. If your club is one of them please do your club reporting.
Few clubs had not deposited their district & international dues. Please arrange to send your dues at one’s.
District Governor Lion Anil Desai had completed his District Governors visit for 21 clubs. Please arrange to plan District Governor’s visit of your club and obtain date from district governor.
District Administration is planning 3rd cabinet meeting and felicitation of past district governor’s on 13th of Feb, 2011 at
Saagar resort Malvan.
Region Conference of all Regions are completed. Hearty congratulation to all region chairmen for doing excellent work. Teachers training workshop was held at Ratnagiri. Lions club of Ratnagiri had played a major role for organizing this event.
District conference of our district is going to be held on 8th,9th &10th April, 2011 at Hotel VITS, Balewadi, Pune .Chief Minister of Maharastra Mr. Prithviraj Chavan has kindly consented to inaugurate the conference . Central Minister Lion Pratik Patil will also grace the occasion.
District Administration expects following things from you
1-February month is observed as Past District Governors Month .District has organized felicitation programme of PDG on 13th February, 2011 at the time of 3rd cabinet meeting to be held at Malvan .You can also organize felicitation of Past District Governors of your region.
2-International President has called for Environment Protection drive
Your club can also plan following activities.
A-Global warming awareness
B-Pollution awareness
C-Lions garden development
D- Noise pollution
E- Plastic free city
3-We hope that your club must have sent 2nd half yearly dues till now.
In case of any problem you are free to call upon us.
4-Please appoint nomination committee to select office bearer of your
Club for year 2011-2012.
5-At the time of district conference following contest will be organized
A-Scrap book contest
B-Photo contest
C-Club bulletin contest
D-Clubs circular contest
E-Banner presentation contest
All rules are specified in district action planner.
6- If you have completed your zone meetings, please plan for your zone social. Please plan zone social with some sports activity.
7- If your club has not completed Zone & region Chairman Visit please Plan for same.
8- Obtain date for District Governors visit to your club and submit
District Governors Questionnaire 30 Days prior to District Governors
Visit.
9-Region Chairman & Zone Chairman Quarterly Report is on the
Website.
10-Please take part in relieving the Hunger Global Service Action Campaigns. For this Please organize food drives and projects to feed hungry. With the down turn in global economy, many hunger relief organizations are finding it difficult to keep up the demand. Help alleviate hunger by planning events around the end of this year.
11-Now examination is round the corner, your club can plan following
Activities-
A-Stress Management Seminar
B-Coaching for poor students
C-Yoga & meditation seminar for students
12-Please arrange to post WMMR of your club on last working day
of each month.
13-You must send Administration and Activity report on or before
5th of every month.
14-WMMR is redesigned by Lions Clubs International providing clubs with additional tools to measure the impact of their work, monitor their service and share information with others. Please visit Lions clubs site for same.
15-Lions Measles initiative programme is taken by Lions Clubs International to protect 41 millions kids. Measles is a leading cause for childhood blindness .This initiative is started from MEDAGASKAR.
16-If your club likes to plan to help the CHILDREN’S in need, the Lions
Children’s programme had tools recourses you need to organize a food
Or clothing drive .Host vision or hearing promote literacy in local school. You can provide shelters for street children’s.

The Association has fixed the rate of exchange for the month of January 2011 at Rs.45.65 to US $.1.00.
The membership as on 31-12-2010 of our District is 2006 hence giving nett growth of 61 members.
LEO Club of Satara MIDC has been inaugurated on 30-01-2011
